COURSE AUDIENCE

Anyone interested in Engineering and/or technical trades.

This certificate is aimed at learners who:

• Wish for career progression within engineering
• Wish to build on the skills learnt from other qualifications.

This programme allows learners to learn, develop and practise the basic introductory skills required for employment and/or career progression in the engineering sector. It allows learners to progress into employment or to the following City & Guilds qualification:

• 2850 – Level 2 in Engineering (IVQ) (all pathways).

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

To earn this qualification, learners must successfully complete the following units:

1. Working in engineering
2. Carrying out mechanical assembly
3. Carrying out electrical assembly

Upon the successful completion of all three units, learners will have the basic introductory skills required for employment and/or career progression in the engineering sector.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this qualification.

COURSE DURATION

6 weeks – Fulltime (Monday to Friday)

Depending on the level of interest we will run a batch where the classes are nights and weekends but the course will take more than 6 weeks to complete.
