COURSE AUDIENCE

For those interested in learning the skills, and ethical foundation necessary to effectively investigate violations of children’s rights.

This course is designed for Staff of UN Agencies, Social Work and Child Welfare Professionals, Law Enforcement Personnel, Educators and School Administrators, Health Care Professionals, NGOs and Community Workers, and other members of the public who are interested in learning about human rights investigations.

This intensive 30-hour course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation necessary to effectively investigate violations of children’s rights.

Through a comprehensive curriculum that spans five detailed modules, participants will explore the intricate world of human rights, with a special focus on the rights of the child, learning to navigate the legal frameworks, recognize and respond to violations, and conduct
thorough and sensitive investigations.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course covers five (5) units:

• Unit 1: Introduction to Human Rights Investigation
• Unit 2: Human Rights Investigation Methods, Tools and Ethics
• Unit 3: Case Management in Human Rights Investigation
• Unit 4: Report Writing and Documentation
• Unit 5: Interagency Collaboration and Support Systems

COURSE SCHEDULE

This course requires a minimum group size to commence and will be scheduled once that number has been met.

COURSE DURATION

This course runs for 30 hours for 5 weeks (2 classes per week at 3 hours each)

When we run this course for a private client it can be facilitated in as many or as few hours per week/month as the customer requires.
